At Western Reserve Elementary, we are dedicated to creating a nurturing and enriching environment for our K-5 students. With small class sizes, each child receives the individual attention they need to thrive academically and personally. Our highly trained teachers use cutting-edge phonemic, phonics, and literacy instruction methods, including the Orton-Gillingham Comprehensive Plus and Heggerty approaches, to ensure that all students develop strong foundational skills in reading and language.

We believe in the importance of holistic education, which is why we have implemented the Zones of Regulation program to help our students learn self-regulation and emotional control. We are also in the beginning phases of integrating the PLTW (Project Lead The Way) Launch program, which will provide our students with engaging, hands-on learning experiences in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).

In partnership with area organizations, we offer additional educational resources, mental health services, and social-emotional support. This comprehensive approach ensures that our students not only excel academically but also develop the social and emotional skills needed for lifelong success.

Welcome to Western Reserve Elementary! We are excited to partner with you to ensure a successful and rewarding school year for your child. Our dedicated staff is committed to providing the best education possible, and we value the support of our PTO, which sponsors special programs and activities for our students. For important information about behavior expectations, dress code, and more, please refer to the parent/student handbook available on our website. If you prefer a hard copy, contact the office.

Your child’s safety is our top priority. Car riders will be dismissed at 3:15 p.m., and we ask that you display your family name card prominently. Students will be released to parent vehicles in the pickup line at the main entrance. If you arrive after buses have entered the drive, please park and come to the main office to sign out your child. We look forward to working with you to provide a safe and welcoming environment for learning. Thank you for sharing your children with us; we are honored to watch their growth each year.
